Moosend Lifetime Deal (2026): Sold Out, Sold Twice, Refund Options and 3 Live Alternatives
By Dominique Abbey · Published
Short answer: the Moosend lifetime deal is over. Its AppSumo page is marked sold out with no purchase option, and the company has changed hands twice since it ran: acquired by Sitecore in 2021 and then by Constant Contact in June 2025. Moosend is alive, but if you hold an old LTD the company that sold it to you is two owners ago; the refund position and three live alternatives are below.

Deal status: is the Moosend lifetime deal still available?
No. We checked on 22 August 2026: the AppSumo listing shows "sold out" and no way to buy. Moosend.com is live and sells on subscription only.
Moosend is an email marketing and automation platform that ran a lifetime deal in its independent, Athens-based years. That deal is long finished, and what has happened to the company since is the part worth understanding if you still hold a licence.
Who owns Moosend now — and why that's the whole story
- May 2021: Sitecore, the enterprise content-management vendor, completed its acquisition of Moosend to add email marketing and automation to its suite.
- June 2025: Constant Contact acquired Moosend from Sitecore.
Two changes of ownership in four years. Neither acquirer had anything to do with the original lifetime cohort, and neither is in the business of honouring a previous owner's one-time licences as a priority. We have no reports of Moosend LTD accounts being revoked — but we also have no reports of them being actively supported, and a licence that is two owners removed from the people who sold it is structurally the most exposed kind.

This is the acquisition-risk case in the lifetime-deal world, and it deserves its own entry next to the shutdown case and the revoked-plan case. The product did not die. The promise simply outlived the company that made it.
Refund window
AppSumo's 60-day window applied from purchase and closed years ago. There is no refund path through Moosend, Sitecore or Constant Contact for a historic LTD.
If you still hold a Moosend lifetime account
- Log in and confirm the account works today. If it does, note which plan name it maps to under Constant Contact's current structure.
- Export your lists and automations now. Not because shutdown is imminent — there is no sign of that — but because an acquired product's legacy accounts are the first thing to be "migrated" in a consolidation, and migrations are where entitlements get lost.
- Record the ownership chain in your tracker and set a FounderTrack watch. The signal to act on is a "we're moving you to a new plan" email; that is when to call in the licence terms you saved.
- Have a fallback sender. A free MailerLite tier or a live email LTD is cheap insurance for a list you cannot afford to lose access to.
Three live alternatives (checked 24 October 2026)
| Tool | Listed under | Price (list) | Rating (reviews) | Listing type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SendFox | Email & SMS Marketing > Email Marketing | $29 ($480) | 4.02 (341) | AppSumo Original |
| SalesBlink | Email & SMS Marketing > Email Marketing | $79 ($600) | 4.41 (506) | AppSumo Select |
| Mystrika | Email & SMS Marketing > Email Marketing | $125 ($619.99) | 4.11 (90) | AppSumo Marketplace |
SendFox is the like-for-like: an email tool sold by AppSumo itself as an AppSumo Original, so the lifetime promise sits with the marketplace rather than with a vendor that may be acquired. SalesBlink and Mystrika are the two other software rows under Email Marketing with meaningful review counts; both lean toward outreach by their listings, so check before moving a newsletter list onto either.
AppSumo prints its refund terms on each deal page; most marketplace deals carry 60 days from purchase. The verified live list is re-checked on the date shown.

The bottom line
Moosend is the acquisition case: alive, sold twice, and owned by a company that never sold you anything. Keep the account, keep your exports current, and keep a fallback — that is what tracking a lifetime deal actually means once the founder has cashed out.
