The 1% platform fee
Every TidyCal plan except Pro takes 1% of each paid booking, on top of whatever Stripe or PayPal charges. On a $100 consultation that is $1. The fee only matters at volume: at $10,000 of paid bookings a year it is $100, which is one year of Pro. Below that, the lifetime deal plus the fee is cheaper than Pro; above it, Pro starts paying for itself through the fee alone, and you get the custom domain and clean branding as well.

- Anyone who needs a custom domain. Only Pro has it. Neither lifetime tier does.
- Anyone who needs no branding at all. The lifetime tiers say "reduced branding". Pro says none.
- High-volume paid bookings. The 1% fee applies to both lifetime tiers; only Pro removes it.
- Enterprise requirements. Calendly's Enterprise plan starts at $15,000 a year, which tells you the kind of buyer it serves. TidyCal's pricing page lists nothing in that bracket.
When Calendly still wins
Calendly wins when the booking page is part of a larger sales process with many seats, when procurement needs an enterprise contract, or when a specific Calendly feature is a requirement rather than a preference. Its Free plan is a genuine way to start, but the one event type and one calendar limit is tight; TidyCal Free gives unlimited booking types on one calendar for the same $0.
For a solo consultant, coach or freelancer, Calendly Standard at $10 per seat per month costs $120 a year on yearly billing. TidyCal Individual costs $29 once.
