Community Platform Lifetime Deals: What Is Live on AppSumo, and Why Discord Is Not (Oct 2026)
By Dominique Abbey · Published
Short answer: community platform lifetime deals exist, but the big names are not among them. On 24 October 2026 AppSumo's Course & Community Builders category held 9 rows, 8 of them confirmed live that day, priced from $49 to $99 plus one $0.00 Plus exclusive; GoBrunch at $89 (4.77 from 333 reviews) is the most reviewed community platform. Six Remote Collaboration rows add options from $19 to $79. Discord, Circle and Skool do not sell lifetime deals, so a one-time price is not on the table there.

Community platforms
| Tool | What it is | Price (list) | Rating (reviews) | Listing type |

GoBrunch is the only row here with a large review base. EzyCommunity is a Launchpad listing, which means a new product with few reviews, and The Sauce is priced at $0.00 only because it sits inside the $99-a-year AppSumo Plus membership.

Discord, Circle and Skool: no lifetime deal
None of the three sells a lifetime deal. We do not quote their pricing here because we did not verify it on 24 October 2026; check each vendor's pricing page directly. If what you want is a free or self-hosted chat space rather than a paid course community, our top 10 Discord alternative platforms roundup covers the open-source options, and the chatbot lifetime deal post covers the support and messaging tools that often sit next to a community.
How to choose a community LTD
1. What does the first tier cap? Community and course tools meter members, courses, storage or hosts. Tier one of a $49 to $99 deal is rarely the "unlimited" plan, so read the tier table for member and course limits before you decide the price beats a subscription.
2. Can you export members and content? A community is a list of people plus the things you made for them. Confirm you can export member lists and course content in a standard format before you invite anyone, because moving a community twice is how you lose it.
3. How established is the vendor? GoBrunch (333 reviews), OnlineCourseHost.com (174) and Forento (112) have been selling on AppSumo long enough to accumulate real feedback. EzyCommunity, Trainwel and PresEngage have six or fewer reviews; that is normal for Launchpad and new Marketplace rows, but it means you should run a real cohort inside the refund window.
The refund window is your real safety net
Every Marketplace, Select and Launchpad deal above carries a 60-day money-back guarantee, printed on each deal page. Plus exclusives (The Sauce, Focusmate Private Group Access) depend on the $99-a-year AppSumo Plus membership, which also gives 10% off every order; the question there is whether you want Plus, not whether you want the tool.
Sixty days is enough time to onboard a first group and see whether they come back. Put the deadline in your calendar the day you buy. DealKeep keeps every deal, code and refund date in one place and alerts you before a window closes; the free plan covers 10 tools. You can also see your refund windows by marketplace in our refund-window table.
